Rifugio Menaggio: where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Como Lake and of the mountains in the nearby. It’s situated on the slope of Monte Grona. From the top of Grona, you can admire one of the best view of Alps. In addition to Lake Como you can see Lake Lugano, the small Lake Piano, the nearby peaks (Bregagno, Pizzo di Gino, Legnone, Grigne e Corni di Canzo), the highest mountains of the Alps, from Monviso to Bernina. Against from Rifugio Menaggio, you can take the scenic walk on a trail through the meadows to the little chapel of Sant'Amate (1623 m) and to the summit of Monte Bregagno (2107 m).

San Domenico (Saint Dominic)

The chapel of San Domenico is located overlooking the lake (800 m) and from there you can enjoy an excellent view of the Lario and the surrounding mountains. From the chapel, crossing the woods, you reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Breglia . It is also an excellent starting point for those who want to visit the wonders of the lake.

Villa Balbianello

Villa Balbianello in Lenno it is situated on a peninsula completely covered with woods and extending towards the lake between two gulfs ( Venus and Diana). Thanks to its unique location, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake. The garden is characterized by balustrades and terraces, alternating fields, cypresses, oaks and hedges. Inside the villa you can admire the collections of art and memories of travels of the explorer Guido Monzini.

Villa Melzi

Villa Melzi it was the summer residence of the Vice President of the First Italian Republic. It was built in neo-classical style, but outside is almost devoid of decorative architectural motifs. In the park there are exotic species, the Egyptian statue and a sculptural group that represents the meeting between Dante and Beatrice, and a Japanese pond with aquatic plants such as water lilies and all around, maples and Japanese cedar. There are also azaleas and rhododendrons, that during the spring color the atmosphere.
